Dr. Victoria Salin is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics with teaching and research responsibilities in agribusiness management and finance. Her research specialty is in applications of real options theory to agribusiness investments, currently analyzing food safety risks and risk-shifting contracts. Other current and recent projects include analysis of the market for U.S. rice in Mexico, financing infrastructure for trade in frozen foods to Southeast Asia, and a case study of the market for Electronic Data Interchange systems among fresh produce companies, and an investigation of contracting in poultry production.
