Agriculture Policy


Agriculture and Food Policy Center The Agriculture and Food Policy Center (AFPC) conducts analyses of the impacts of government policy proposals and/or implementation procedures on farmers, agribusinesses, taxpayers, and consumers. Its primary constituency is the U.S. Congress, particularly the Agricultural Committees. The AFPC also conducts research and/or educational programs for government agencies, farm and agribusiness organizations, and agricultural leadership throughout Texas and the nation.

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations The FAO has decided to facilitate the access to the wealth of information on food, agriculture, fishery and forestry that is produced as part of its mandate in these areas. To this end the Organization is creating the World Agricultural Information Centre (WAICENT) which will include two different subsystems: FAOSTAT: covering statistical data; FAOINFO: covering textual information.

Agricultural Policy Analysis Center Welcome to the Agricultural Policy Analysis Center (APAC) of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. The site was designed in order to distribute information to you in an easy and timely fashion.

Center for Biotechnology Policy and Ethics The Center for Biotechnology Policy and Ethics at Texas A&M University was established in 1991 to foster research on a range of topics related to science and technology policy, especially agricultural biotechnology.

ABC The Agricultural Biotechnology Center was founded by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture in 1986, based upon the realization that biotechnology and its applications may be key factors in the future competitiveness of this branch of the economy.

Conservation Reserve Program A voluntary program for agricultural landowners. Through CRP, you can receive annual rental payments and cost-share assistance to establish long-term, resource conserving covers on eligible farmland.

Industrial Agricultural Products Center The Industrial Agricultural Products Center (IAPC) is a research and technology development and transfer center with expertise in the industrial applications of agricultural products.

World Bank The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development is the World Bank Group's main lending organization. It lends to developing countries with relatively high per capita incomes. The money the IBRD lends is used to pay for development projects, such as building highways, schools, and hospitals, and for programs to help goverments change the way they manage their economies.
